Your guitar,
in maqam.

Play your guitar in maqam: each note moves by its quarter tone as you play.

Choose a maqam and its tonic, plug in, and play in your normal tuning. No refretting, no retuning between songs: the notes the maqam bends move by their quarter tones, live, with your own amps and effects after them.

Closed beta: coming soon

For iPhone, iPad and Mac. Not released yet.

What it does

Maqam on any tonic

Pick a maqam and its tonic; the quarter tones move with it.

Live, in your tuning

Play as you always do; each note the maqam bends moves as you play.

Your own scales

Trim any note from the keypad; your scale stays with its maqam.

Your sound after it

Our effects, then the Audio Units you already own.

In your studio

An Audio Unit inside the app takes the shifter into your music app.

Private

Your guitar is processed on your iPhone, iPad or Mac; nothing is recorded or sent.

The shifter, then your sound

The quarter-tone shifter comes first, on your guitar's input. After it come our effects, starting with an amp that plays the NAM model you choose, and then the Audio Units you already own. The shifter is also an Audio Unit inside the app, for your music app or studio.
