Answers to the most common questions during the beta.

How do I open a chart link?

Once Turnaround is installed, tapping or clicking a chart link anywhere (a message, an email, a website) opens Turnaround with that chart loaded. You can also paste a link directly into the app from the add menu.

Turnaround is asking to access data from another app. What is that?

This prompt appears only on the Mac, only if you choose to import your existing charts and playlists from another chord chart app on the same Mac. macOS itself shows this prompt because Turnaround is asking to read that app's container. The read is read-only and stays on your device; see the privacy policy for details.

I said no by mistake. How do I re-allow it?

  1. Open System Settings.
  2. Go to Privacy & Security.
  3. Scroll to App Management (or search for it in the sidebar's search field).
  4. Find Turnaround in the list and turn the toggle on.
  5. Try the import again from the add menu in the app.

The exact wording of this settings pane can vary a little between macOS versions, but "App Management" under Privacy & Security is the place to look.

Do I need another chart app installed?

No. That import option only appears if there is something on the Mac to import from. Everything else in Turnaround, including opening chart links and using the chart editor, works without it.

Something's not working in the beta. How do I report it?

Send beta feedback, crash reports or general questions through the contact form, or email support@digital-strings.com directly. Please include your device model and OS version, and the steps that led to the problem if you can.

Where can I get the app?

The Mac and Android betas are direct downloads from the Turnaround page. iPhone and iPad come later, through TestFlight first; the link will be on the same page.

How does the trial work?

The first time it opens, Turnaround asks for your email and sends a 6-digit code to it. The code starts a free 7-day trial for that email and this device; asking for a new code doesn't start it again. After the trial, Turnaround opens with a licence key.
